ECHA has updated the Q&As providing advice to companies on the UK’s withdrawal from the EU. The updates cover topics related to the authorisation and registration of substances and mixtures under REACH, as well as general advice to current non-EU companies. The updates also provide advice on transferring assets between a company’s affiliates.

ECHA will publish new Q&As related to the Biocidal Products Regulation (BPR) soon.

ECHA does not plan to significantly expand its Q&As ahead of the date of the UK’s withdrawal on 30 March 2019. However, companies are recommended to check for updates in the coming months.

The advice is written on the basis that the UK’s withdrawal will take effect on 30 March 2019. If the EU and the UK conclude a withdrawal agreement and therein agree on a transition period, ECHA will amend the Q&As accordingly.

ECHA is committed to providing user-friendly and timely advice to companies on developments regarding the UK’s withdrawal from the EU, and will soon publish a revamped version of the relevant web section on its website.
