Around 35 000 workers are currently exposed to cobalt salts in the European Economic Area. ECHA is proposing to restrict the manufacturing, placing on the market and use of five cobalt salts, as substances on their own or in mixtures, in industrial and professional applications. Public consultation open until June 2019. Early comments are welcome by 1 March 2019.
