Argentina drafts Regulatory framework establishing the basic quality and safety principles and requirements applicable to construction products

The notified measure constitutes the regulatory framework establishing the basic quality and safety principles and requirements for construction products marketed in the territory of the Argentine Republic. Construction products are understood to mean any product or group of products manufactured and placed on the market in order to be permanently or temporarily incorporated into construction works or parts thereof. Additional specific regulations shall be issued, which, owing to their particular characteristics, are considered relevant, based on guidelines established. Domestic manufacturers and importers of the products covered by the notified measure will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the technical requirements and conformity assessment procedures to be established by the specific regulations. The notified measure will be implemented within the deadlines established in each of the regulations issued.
