As a follow-up to last month's memorandum from OSHA directing compliance officers to evaluate the Silica standard within a good faith framework, OSHA issued a memorandum last week with more details. The memo provides Compliance Safety and Health Officers (CSHOs) with inspection and citation guidance and flow charts. It "will serve as interim enforcement guidance while the standard's companion compliance directive is proceeding through the review process. It will expire when the compliance directive becomes effective and available to the field."
