Mauritania amends Packaging and Labelling Requirements for iodised salt

The labels of iodised salt are to contain the following indications: denomination "sel iodé" (iodised salt); the words "sel" and "iodé" are to appear next to each other in upper case and in bold, iodine content, net weight of the salt, manufacturing date, expiry date, lot number, usage (nutritional, food industry or other), compound of used iodine, warning: to keep in a dry and cold place, name or company name and address of the manufacturer, country of origin of the product.
