Food products to which the prior release notice is issued are not allowed to be moved, consumed or sold before the import permission is granted. However, there were more violating cases recently. With a view to reinforcing the responsibilities of importers, the Ministry of Health and Welfare intends to amend Articles 7, 19 and 20 of the Regulations of Inspection of Imported Foods and Related Products.
