A Notice of Proposed Rulemaking announcing proposed amendments to Title 27 of the California Code of Regulations Article 6, Clear and Reasonable Warnings, section 25600.2, was published in the California Regulatory Notice Register on November 26, 2018 (Notice File Number Z-2018-1106-09). The proposed amendments would clarify and make the provisions for responsibility to provide Proposition 65 consumer product exposure warnings more specific. The November 16, 2018 notice initiated a 45-day public comment period that was scheduled to close on December 31, 2018. The Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) has received a request from Tyler Bowlin of Miller Nash Graham & Dunn LLP to hold a public hearing on the proposed regulation.
OEHHA has scheduled a public hearing on Thursday, January 3, 2019.
