Pesticides homologation prior to their marketing in Togo

Pesticides require a homologation prior to their marketing in Togo. The Sahelian Pesticide Committee (CSP) is the authority responsible for this procedure, namely the Registration of Pesticides and the Registration of Biopesticides, respectively. Besides descriptive, technical and toxicological files, a Certificate of Analysis and specific reference samples as well as original labels for each pesticide/formulation are prerequisites for their registration. In order to initiate the actual importation of these goods, prior authorisation from the Directorate of Plant Protection (DPV) under the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Hydraulics is required.

As detailed in the section on Prohibited Imports, certain pesticides are banned from importation.
