China has opened a public consultation on 2 clothing relevant standards "General safety requirements for footwear" , "Safety technical specifications for children's footwear" and other 3 auto relevant regulations.

Consultation period: 25th Nov - 25th Dec, 2021

(*) "General safety requirements for footwear" specifies the terms and definitions, technical requirements, test methods, and determination of general safety for footwear. This document applies to footwear products made of various materials. This document does not apply to protective shoes (boots) and footwear worn by children under 14 years of age (inclusive).

(*) "Safety technical specifications for children's footwear" specifies the terms and definitions, product classification, technical requirements, test methods, and determination of the safety of children's shoes. This document applies to footwear made of various materials for children under 14 years of age (inclusive) and infants and young children.
