The Russian Federation has proposed updates to the regulation on common veterinary requirements for goods subject to veterinary control, as well as amendments to the forms of common veterinary certificates for imports into the Customs Territory of the Eurasian Economic Union. The proposed changes aim to improve animal health by updating veterinary requirements, including testing for brucellosis of cows donating embryos, conditions of exportation of horses after sports events, and safety indicators for feed of plant origin.
The proposed changes have been notified to the World Trade Organization under notification G/SPS/N/RUS/263. The drafts will be reviewed by the Collegium of the Eurasian Economic Commission, with documents 0105884 and 0105888 outlining the specific proposed changes.
If approved, these changes will provide updated guidelines for imports of controlled goods from third countries into the Eurasian Economic Union, ensuring that animal health is protected and maintained throughout the import process.
