PRELIMINARY DRAFT GUIDELINES (TEST METHOD) FOR THE DETERMINATION OF THE PREDOMINANT MATERIALS OF FOOTWEAR

Description

This document establishes guidelines for the gravimetric method in order to determine the percentage of materials in the fundamental parts of footwear (cut or upper part, lining, insole and sole); indirectly through the weight of the transparent plastic film (mica) pieces, coming from the tracing of the silhouette of the upper and/or lining and/or insole materials; as appropriate. The weights directly determine the density and volume of the materials that make up the sole.
