On June 21, 2023, the European Chemicals Agency's Board of Appeal made a decision regarding the compliance check of the registration for a substance called (E)-anethole. The case, identified as A-004-2022, involved the german company Symrise AG.
The appeal made by Symrise AG was dismissed by the ECHA Board of Appeal. The decision requires that the information on the PNDT study and the EOGRTS, as stated in the Contested Decision, must be provided by March 29, 2026.
