With an  Interministerial Decree  signed by the Minister of Labor and the Minister of Health, the new Annex XXXVIII of Legislative Decree 81/08 was approved  , relating to the occupational exposure limit values ​​for chemical agents. The new Annex integrates the values ​​defined by the 4th list of values ​​introduced at European level with Directive (EU) 2017/164.


In the transposition of the Directive, some changes have been introduced with respect to what is established at European level, in particular:

(*) the note "skin" has been added to the substances  acrylic acid  (CAS 79-10-7) and  bisphenol A  (CAS 80-05-7);

(*) the dichloromethane values ​​were halved   (CAS 75-09-2).

It is also recalled that the occupational exposure limit values ​​of the substances  nitrogen monoxide  (CAS 10102-43-9),  nitrogen dioxide  (CAS 10102-44-0) and  carbon monoxide  (CAS 630-08-0) for the activities underground mines and tunnels apply from 22 August 2023.
