Facilitating healthier food choices – establishing nutrient profiles | Consultation Period 23 December 2020 - 03 February 2021
This initiative focuses on foods bearing nutrition and health claims and follows up on the ‘farm to fork’ strategy.
Specifically, the initiative aims to establish ‘nutrient profiles’. These are thresholds for nutrients such as fats, sugars and/or salt in foods, above which nutrition and health claims are restricted or not allowed.
