ECHA: Chairman of the Board of Appeal Dismisses International Flavors & Fragrances I.F.F. Appeal

The Chairman of the Board of Appeal at the European Chemicals Agency has ruled on the case A-012-2022 brought by International Flavors & Fragrances (Nederland) B.V. The company contested the "Assessment of regulatory needs, group name: Aralkylaldehydes" document published by the agency on September 21, 2022. The decision was that the appeal was inadmissible as the document was not formally adopted under the provisions referred to in Article 91(1) of the REACH Regulation. The Appellant requested the Board of Appeal to annul the contested document and order the Agency to follow proper procedures in the future. The Chairman of the Board dismissed the appeal.
