Labelling Requirements for Poisons

A number of goods to be sold in Jamaica are subject to specific packaging and labelling requirements prescribed by Jamaican legislation or compulsory national standards, as detailed below. Compulsory national standards, which are monitored by the Bureau of Standards Jamaica (BSJ), have been established for the packaging and labelling of sugar, processed foodstuffs, brewery products, retail packages of pesticides and electric household appliances, amongst others.
