This initiative expands the list of fragrances banned in toys that are sold in the EU, to prevent potential allergic reactions in children.
The banned fragrances are listed in the EU’s toy safety directive – no toys sold in the EU can contain these substances.
The fragrances that will be added to the directive with this update are:
HICC, chloroatranol, atranol and the allergenic extracts and oils from tagetes erecta, tagetes minuta and tagetes patula.
