The Australian Inventory of Industrial Chemicals (AIIC) is a database managed by the Australian government's Department of Health. It is a key component of the National Industrial Chemicals Notification and Assessment Scheme (NICNAS), which regulates the importation and manufacture of industrial chemicals in Australia.
The AIIC serves as a comprehensive inventory of chemicals that are commercially available for use in Australia. It includes chemicals that have been assessed by NICNAS, as well as chemicals that are exempt from notification requirements. The inventory provides information about the identity of chemicals, their categorization, and their regulatory status in Australia.
The following industrial chemicals have been added to the Australian Inventory of Industrial Chemicals in accordance with section 82 of the Industrial Chemicals Act 2019 because 5 years have passed since the assessment certificates for the industrial chemicals were issued.
