The deadline for submitting suggestions to the Draft Bill that sets the maximum limit for lead in paints and similar materials was extended until March 4, as published in the Official Gazette of this Wednesday. The text was prepared by the working group on lead in paints, created by the National Commission of Chemical Safety (Conasq), coordinated by the Ministry of the Environment (MMA). The proposal revises the current law on lead use ( Law no. 11,762 / 2008 ) and modifies the lead concentration limit in 600 ppm to 90 ppm inks, as well as setting deadlines for different paint categories to fit the new limit .
