The Portuguese Competent Authorities have approved Exceptional and Temporary Requirements and Procedures for Placing Disinfectants Biocides on the national market in Portugal during COVID-19 Pandemic.
It includes a simplified notification when active substances are still under review and not yet approved like Ethanol and in addition a notification for products containing already approved active substances like propanol, Sodium Hypochlorite and Hydrogen Peroxide.
It includes also a derogation for Article 95 compliance allowing for a limited period of time biocidal products containing active substances from non-approved suppliers.
These market authorisations will be valid for a period of 180 days after notification.
