The manufacturing process employed by Riverdale Mills historically required the use of hydrochloric acid, ammonium hydroxide and sodium hydroxide. To reduce the amount of chemicals used, the company designed, fabricated, and installed a two-part dual brush roll system to remove excess water and acid at two points in the galvanizing process.
