The European Chemical Agency (ECHA) has initiated an eight-week consultation period for various authorisation applications involving the use of several substances: Chromium Trioxide, dichromium tris(chromate), Potassium Dichromate, and Sodium Chromate. The period of consultation began on the 11th of August and will run until the 10th of October, 2023.

Chromium Trioxide takes center stage due to its wide-ranging applications in the aerospace and defense industries. However, it's important to note that the consultation encompasses multiple chemicals with varying uses and implications.

Each application's details, including the purpose of use and the entities involved, can be accessed through the provided links in the table of applications. This transparency initiative is in line with ECHA's commitment to promoting responsible chemical usage while considering the potential risks and alternatives.
