Washington DC -- Today the Senate took the first step to reinstate the EPA’s 2016 methane pollution safeguards with the introduction of a Congressional Review Act resolution.

Clean Water Action’s Special Project Manager, Andrew Grinberg, released the following statement:

We thank Senator Heinrich and Senator King for introducing the Congressional Review Act resolution to reverse the previous Administration’s attempts to weaken limits on methane emissions. We urge the Senate to quickly approve this resolution so the Environmental Protection Agency can get to work curbing methane pollution from new and existing oil and gas operations.”
