Discussion on comments received in public consultation 691 contributions have been received in the public consultation.

A number of comments are addressing harm reduction of e-cigarettes compared to traditional cigarettes. The mandating Commission service clarified that there was no specific mentioning of harm reduction in the Terms of Reference. The WG discussed the allocation of tasks prepared by the Chair and agreed to send the draft replies to comments and, if needed, proposed changes to the Opinion, at the latest 1 week before the next meeting. Timeline for the finalisation of the Opinion: it is planned to adopt the final Opinion at the next SCHEER plenary meeting on 3-4 March 2021.
