Low Hazard Chemicals Proposed for Exemption of Registration and Notification under Korea REACH

On 12 Oct 2018, South Korea’s MoE issued a notice (No. 2018-764) seeking feedback on proposed registration/notification exemptions under the revised K-REACH (effective on 1 Jan 2019). The proposed exemptions will affect relatively low hazard chemical substances, as per designations made after deliberation of the chemical evaluation committee. The consultation will end on 31 Oct.

The notice include two annexes. Annex 1 is a batch of 40 substances with CAS number, most of which are inert gases and others e.g. water, dextrin. glycerides, etc. Annex 2 is a clear description of types of substances, including:
