Agriculture is among the three most hazardous sectors to work in at any age in terms of work-related illness, accidents and fatalities. Pesticide exposure represents one of most serious risks to the health of workers and their families in rural areas. Individuals or groups are not equally exposed to the risks of pesticides, not only for biological but also for social and economic reasons.
