On April 11, 2019, Decree No 9,760 (“Decree”), was published amending the Decree No 6,514/2008 which provides for administrative violations to the environment and regulates the Conciliation Hearing (“Conciliation”) in environmental processes. The Decree established the detailed procedure for the Conciliation and updated the procedure to convert fines into projects to preserve, improve and recover the quality of the environment.
