Public consultation | Guidelines for Cobalt Smelters Supply Chain Due Diligence

In order to help cobalt supply chain companies identify, prevent and control the social, environmental and governance risks that may exist in the supply chain and improve supply chain governance capabilities, China Chamber of Commerce of Metals, Minerals & Chemicals Importers & Exporters (CCCMC), combined with Responsible Cobalt Initiative (RCI) and Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI) co-developed Cobalt Refiner Standard (pilot phase). In order to test the applicability and operationality of the Standard, CCCMC, combined with RCI, entrust the Standards Technical Service Co., Ltd. (SGS) to carry out a pilot assessment project for the pilot phase. The incomplete description was supplemented and the inapplicable content was revised to form the Guidelines for Cobalt Smelters Supply Chain Due Diligence (Version 1.0).
