Pursuant to section 68 or 74 of the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999 (CEPA), the Minister of the Environment and the Minister of Health have conducted a screening assessment of 12 substances collectively referred to as the Resins and Rosins Group.
Overall conclusion: It is therefore concluded that tall oil meets one or more of the criteria set out in section 64 of CEPA, specifically on the basis of risk presented by CTO and that the other 11 Resins and Rosins Group substances do not meet any of the criteria set out in section 64 of CEPA.
