Soil Supply chain Sustainability Agriculture

On 15 and 16 April, the ENVI Committee will vote on the motion for a European Parliament resolution to encourage the sustainable use of soil and so foster economic recovery and urban regeneration.

This resolution stresses that soil is exposed to a variety of degradation processes, while it recognizes that the sustainable use of soil protects biodiversity and guarantees agri-food supply chain stability. The resolution calls on the Commission to, inter alia, promote the sustainable use of soil in order to support food production and protect biodiversity.
