LG Chem says it intends to achieve carbon-neutral growth by 2050. The company says it is the first South Korean chemical firm to announce plans to be carbon neutral. According to LG Chem, carbon-neutral growth refers to a decrease of net emissions to zero by performing reduction activities equivalent to the increase in carbon emissions caused by business growth.

The company says it has developed high-quality and eco-friendly plastics with 60% raw material content for PCR polycarbonate (PC) and supplies them to international IT companies. It plans to increase the production of PCR PC by 85% and expand its product line to include acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) and polyolefins.
