Summary - This initiative intends to schedule ethyl alpha-phenylacetoacetate (EAPA) as a category 1 drug precursor, meaning: - Operators established in the Union importing or exporting EAPA, other than customs agents and transporters, need a license and import authorisation; - operators and users need a license before possessing or placing it on the market . EAPA is used in illegal drug production. It has no known legal use except research, so no impact on operators is expected
