Learn MoreDiscover how Chemycal PRO helps you boosting your regulatory monitoring:
The EPA has issued documents regarding the risk of 1,4-dioxane in PET manufacturing. They found an unreasonable risk, leading to potential regulations. A draft supplement broadens the evaluation. A change in risk determination approach increases concerns about drinking water exposure. An existing chemical exposure limit (ECEL) of 0.055 ppm for workplace inhalation exposure has been established, significantly lower than OSHA's limit of 100 ppm. Affected parties should comment on the drafts and adapt to the new ECEL.
