This new report reviews the scientific literature on specific work-related diseases – such as infectious diseases and allergies - caused by biological agents. It also includes the findings of a survey of experts and an evaluation of systems used by EU Member States to monitor such diseases and exposures. The report provides recommendations for better monitoring practices, prevention strategies and policies.
This work forms part of a large-scale project to address work-related diseases in EU workplaces and ensure better prevention.
