This test method covers the determination of the amount of volatile organic compound (VOC) released from applied solventborne automotive coatings that is available for delivery to a VOC control device. This is accomplished by measuring the weight loss of a freshly coated test panel subjected to solvent evaporation or baking in a laboratory simulation of the production process.
