General Guidance on Bridging of Pesticide Risk Assessments

Risk or hazard evaluations completed in one country may be used by another country in support of its notification of final regulatory action submitted in accordance with Article 5 of the Rotterdam Convention; this kind of action is called bridging. The webinar will introduce the concept of bridging in the context of the Rotterdam Convention and the bridging guidance under the FAO Pesticide Registration Toolkit, which contains detail supportive information on how bridging can be done successfully and therefore reduce the workload on decision makers in the context of pesticide management and Rotterdam Conventions obligations.
