Title of document
Proposal for Amendment to Legal Inspection of Eraser (1 page(s), in English; 1 page(s), in Chinese)

Description
Erasers have been subject to mandatory inspection under the Commodity Inspection Act since 1 October 2011. As the inspection standard, CNS 6856, was revised and published in 2018, the Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection intends to adopt the updated version. The changes mainly involve the requirement for DEHP'>phthalates. Instead of specifying the limits in Section 3.3, the new version makes reference to CNS 15527 "General Safety Requirements for Stationery." Section 3.3 of CNS 15527 reduces the scope of restricted DEHP'>phthalates by deleting DMP and DEP. As a result, the sum of total mixture of 6 DEHP'>phthalates (DEHP,DBP,BBP,DINP,DIDP and DNOP) shall not be over 0.1% (wt/wt).
