In mid-September, the U.S. Commerce Department in Washington, D.C., hosted a delegation from Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and the Kyrgyz Republic for the U.S. Consultations of the Central Asia Expert Level Working Group on Standards. They discussed standardization and applications to lead-based paints used in those countries, with a presentation from Kenneth White, chair of the subcommittee on lead hazards associated with buildings (E06.23).
