22 May 2019 New Zealand Amendments as regards customs valuation, the World Animal Health Information System (WAHIS), labelling requirements as well as trade-related news have been brought to the import documentation for New Zealand. The following changes have been made:

Customs Valuation

The chapter entitled Customs Value in this overview has been enhanced with information on valuation ruling, a new customs service introduced with the Customs and Excise Act 2018. Please refer to the quoted section for specifics.

World Animal Health Information System (WAHIS)

Details of the World Animal Health Information System (WAHIS) have been introduced to the section on Animals and Products of Animal Origin below. Further particulars may be obtained therefrom

Labelling Requirements

A new paragraph on the requirements regarding the Labelling of Tobacco Products in New Zealand has been created for reasons of clarity and greater transparency.
