In July, the Danish Environmental Protection Agency will carry out measurements for PFAS in seawater to investigate the occurrence of PFAS along the Danish coasts.

The study is initiated on the basis of the results of source detection for PFAS in the area by Thyborøn, where the content of PFAS in seawater has been established.

The concentrations found along the coast in Lemvig Municipality may indicate that the general environmental quality requirement for PFOS in marine surface water has been exceeded, but not the guideline limit value for bathing water.
