On 8 November, the Slovenian town of Bled will host a conference entitled Circular Economy in the Region: Connected for Sustainability and Growth. The aim of the conference is to discuss the possibilities and advantages of the transition to a circular economy in South East Europe and the potential for cooperation.

The conference will offer insights into the topic of circular economy from some of the most renowned experts from the International Resource Panel (IRP). It will bring together governments, experts in the field of circular economy, and numerous stakeholders from South East Europe.

Speakers at the conference include Janez Potočnik, former EU Commissioner for the Environment and Izabella Teixeira, Brazil´s former Environment Minister, both IRP Co-Chairs; IRP scientists such as Paul Ekins, Maarten Hajer, and Jeff Herrick; high-level and political representatives of South Eastern European countries; as well as Ladeja Godina Košir of Circular Change, who will be introducing the European Circular Economy Stakeholder Platform.
