The Commonwealth of Massachusetts has announced a public hearing regarding proposed amendments to the Toxic or Hazardous Substance List in accordance with M.G.L. Chapter 21I, Sections 4. These regulations aim to reflect changes in the list of chemicals managed by the Administrative Council on Toxics Use Reduction under the Toxics Use Reduction Act (TURA, M.G.L. Chapter 21I). Specifically, this involves the addition of twenty-two substances recently included by the USEPA in the Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) under EPCRA Section 313 for 2022 and 2023.
The public hearing will be held remotely via Zoom on November 3, 2023, at 1 p.m. (Eastern Time).
