New mandates
(*) Prostaglandins and their analogues used in cosmetic products: the mandate has been adopted by written procedure on 15 January and published. A Rapporteur has been selected and will be appointed.
(*) GROW informed about future mandates on ED substances
Draft Opinion discussed
(*) Aluminium in lipstick - addendum for new concentration: the preliminary opinion has been published and it is now open for comment until 15 February 2021.
(*) Benzophenone-3 – the preliminary Opinion has been published and it is now open for comment until 15 February 2021.
(*) Octocrylene - the preliminary Opinion was adopted by written procedure on 15 January. It has been published and it is now open for comment until 15 March 2021.
(*) Methylsalicylate - a draft preliminary version of the Opinion has been discussed and new tasks allocated to the members. A revised version will be discussed during the next WG meeting.
(*) Hair Dye Acid Yellow 3 – C054 – the Opinion is ON HOLD until February 2021 due to request sent to the Applicant and delay occurring in their submission.
Comments on Opinions
(*) BPA in clothing – the public consultation was running until 7 December. 25 comments from 6 recipients were received. Comments were presented and tasks were allocated among members. SCCS draft responses have been discussed and will be further discussed at the next WG meeting. The Secretariat has been invited to present the status of the Opinion to the mandating DG JUST when meeting with their network of Member States on 27
January.
(*) Resorcinol – the commenting period was running until 22 December. SCCS draft responses have been discussed and will be further discussed at the next WG meeting.
(*) Homosalate – the commenting period was running until 4 January. SCCS draft responses have been discussed and will be further discussed at the next WG meeting.
