The requirements of the existing standard, SI 62133 part 1, dealing with nickel systems of secondary cells and batteries containing alkaline, shall be declared mandatory. This declaration is inline with the mandatory standardization objective to protect human safety. This standard adopts the International Standard IEC 62133-1 - Edition 1.0: 2017-02 without any national deviations and will enter into force 6 months after publication in Israel Official Gazette.
