The Department of the Environment has announced the release of the Federal Environmental Quality Guidelines for iron under the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999. These guidelines are part of the Minister of the Environment's mandate to preserve environmental quality. The guidelines were developed in consultation with provincial and territorial governments, as well as representatives of Indigenous governments, to ensure comprehensive environmental protection standards. The guidelines are now available on the Canada.ca (Chemical substances) website.
