The Canadian Department of Environment and Department of Health have completed a screening assessment of six substances belonging to the Naphthalene Sulfonic Acids and Salts Group. The assessment determined that the substances do not pose immediate or long-term harm to the environment or human health. However, regulatory measures will be implemented for three of the substances to address potential risks associated with significant new activities.
