Ukraine will consider the UK as a party of the existing Association Agreement

On 1 February 2020, the United Kingdom (UK) left the European Union (EU) within the framework of a mutual withdrawal agreement. Ukraine will consider the UK as a party of the existing Association Agreement (AA) with the EU during the transition period. According to an official statement of the Ukrainian Ministry for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture, the government will continue to apply existing agreements during the transition period. Until further notice, 31 December of 2020 has been stipulated in the respective withdrawal agreement as the end of said transition period.
