Alaska PFAS Lawsuit Latest State Action On PFAS
On April 7, 2021, Alaska’s Attorney general filed a lawsuit against over thirty companies seeking damages for PFAS pollution to the environment throughout the state. While the Complaint seeks damages from pollution related to only two of the thousands of PFAS – in this case, perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) and perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS) – the damages alleged are nevertheless likely to be in the hundreds of millions for remediation.
