The Montville Green Team announces a free screening of the documentary “True Cost” on Sunday, Nov. 5, at 2 p.m.at the Montville Township Public Library.
A must-see for anyone who buys clothes, this documentary explains how most big-name clothing manufacturers are causing severe environmental pollution and committing various human rights abuses in foreign factories. Working in hazardous buildings that violate code and surrounded by toxic chemicals, third-world factory workers have little choice, but you do. Before starting your holiday shopping, come to the library to see the documentary and learn more about this important issue that will surely change the way you look at a mall.
This documentary is the second in a series of environmental documentaries being presented by the Montville Green Team, with the help of the Montville Environmental Commission and the Montville High School Environmental Club.
