Harmful substances found in toys from foreign online stores

The Danish Environmental Protection Agency has received the analysis results from the toy industry's trade organization LEG, where the toy products were purchased from Wish and AliExpress. The Environmental Protection Agency has assessed the products on the basis of the analysis results. Four of the plastic products contain harmful phthalates in concentrations so high that they can pose a serious health risk to young children up to three years with prolonged exposure. At the same time, the Danish Environmental Protection Agency estimates that a mucus toy product (consisting of two parts) can pose a serious health risk to children through long-term effects. For all five products, there is no acute risk if one's children have been playing with the toy.
